its like anything else you buy. The better the quality, the more it will cost. Want a cheap, fast job for $500? fine, but expect to see some overspray, probably some flaws in the paint, and it may start to look rough again in just a couple of years.

do you want it done right, figure on closer to 2000,
on the other hand, if you just want it blasted, and don't care about detail work like a color match, cutting the door jambs, trim work, body lines, or massive overspray, then figure on $500...
Check out the rep with the place you are going to get it done at and go from there. A place usually charges more because of the quality they do so expect to pay some money out.
