There's alot of factors to consider when ';Bidding'; a job. Like is it a repaint, new construction, nail holes, broken drywall to repair, color change, primer etc... Who buys the materials? Most Painters do the job by bidding by the square foot, not by the hour.
by the job i bid them so as to clear $150 per day net.
