What is the difference between candy paint and regular paint jobs...price too?

I'll try to give you the quick and easy description.

Normal paint jobs are 2 stage.... base color and clear coat.

Candy paint jobs are 3 stage..... base color, translucent candy color, and clear coat.

Cost deference is great.

Candy paint jobs start around $4000 and can go up as high as $10k

Thy do require more materials, longer work time, but mostly you are paying for the skill. There are very few painters that can do a descent candy job. What is the difference between candy paint and regular paint jobs...price too?
Alot more mixing and matching paint is involved with the differences of base and metallic paints. I should know my brother own's a Body Shop. What is the difference between candy paint and regular paint jobs...price too?
The difference in a candy paint job and a standard one is the with the regular paint job you just have a base color covered with a clear coat. But the candy job consist of a base color covered by a semi transparent mid coat which gives the candy paint its deep color then finally it is clear coated. Expect to pay a good bit more for the candy job since there is a lot more work involved and the paint is more expensive. Hope this helps
Candy paints are very expensive and look way better than standard paint jobs.
