Depending on size and condition (and assuming it's genuine) your picture should be worth in the region of US$1000 to $2000 (or it's equivalent).Vernon Ward Oil Painting Prices?

Have you had the painting verified?


If not i would suggest that you do. There are a few fakes getting around since his death in 1985.


I would personally have it valued by a respected valuer to see what the market is looking for and to find out if his artworks are becoming more valuable and/or harder to find.


If you would like someone here to have a guess we would need more info. Like the size of the painting and the approximate date it was produced.


I hope I've helped you a little bit and made your mind up to get it valued. You need to have it valued for insurance purposes, just in case it was damaged or stolen.
