We opted to use the colorplace brand from Walmart. It is quite nice and there are a ton of colors. It's quite reasonable at like $13 a gallon mixed for interor base.What's the best Paint for the cheapest price?
IF YOUR NOT PARTICULAR ABOUT COLOR, GO TO HOME DEPOT TO THE RETURNED PAINT SECTION, OFTEN YOU CAN PICK UP A GALLON OF PAINT FOR ONLY $5.00 THAT SOMEONE HAS RETURNED, AND THEY RESELL IT FOR THAT. QUARTS GO FOR ABOUT A DOLLAR. PRETTY GOOD PREMIUM DEAL, IF COLOR ISN'T AN ISSUE. PREMIUM PAINT, TOO!

Behr paints found at Home Depot got a Consumer Report's Best Buy Rating last year

I would just buy Behr paint from home depot..it's cheap and works great.
Go to home depot or Lowe's and get there mis-matched paint You get it 5.00 a gal the good stuff . I have painted my whole house this way with Behr Premium paint coverage is great!
You can check with any of your local paint dealers for mismatched paint. I get a few gallons of similar color and mix them in a big bucket when I have a big job to do. And as the other poster said you can't beat $5 a gallon.
I have better luck with Sears lifetime. Buy it when its on sale.
Glidden hands down is the best,one thing though if you are covering dark colors it is best to use Kiltz. Otherwise any paint you use will have a ';tint'; show.
I dont know about cheap - but Sico I prefer Sico paints - the coverage is good and applys very nicely - the cheaper paints dont do the same job
The generic brand of paint at walmart is decent...the key is a thorough job of cleaning, patching, sanding, cleaning and priming. NO SHORTCUTS!!!
Ella 727 has nailed it hands down Behr from the Home Depot... If you buy the cheaper stuff, you will have to recoat it several times. With Behr it is pretty much first coat, every time.
