How can I find out the auction history of a painting, including its previous prices?
I've got an essay to write for my third year at university and I'm really frustrated cos I can't find out how much Mark Rothko's No. 7 (Dark Over Light) has been bought for by any of its previous owners. Can someone tell me where to look? Is there a website with auction price indexes or a book?
