I am a student who got a job at my local Michaels for some discounts on fine art supplies. Some paintbrushes are really expensive there, even though they are nice (like W%26amp;N and Grumbacher ) As for paint I have used a Liquitex acrylic basic set. (Anyone know anything better for the same price let me know) I don't want to spend alot of money on a set of basic paintbrushes. Anyone have any advice? What type of paint %26amp; paint brushes should I buy? Does price really = quality?

I don't know what is the big discount for Micheal's employees but at Hobby lobby you can get 50% off with their sale included paint brushes. The quality ones.
For acrylic painting you can get by with inexpensive paint brushes. You would be better off not getting a set. Buy a few sizes and types you will use. In sets, often you buy types and sizes you'll never use.
Acrylic paints are hard on brushes, so don't spend a lot of money on them. Spend your money on quality paints.
Princeton and L%26amp;C are good inexpensive brush brands.
