All i need is the approx. est of the paint alone to paint a whole car not including the job itself? thank you!!1How much does the full body car paint cost alone without the price of the job?
Depends on what you want, prices vary from $35 to $170 a gallon. You did not specify. Typical is round $60.How much does the full body car paint cost alone without the price of the job?
Single stage paint for average car can run from $30 per gallon to 160 per gallon. Usually a half gallon needed. Multi stage paints can run a Good bit higher especially when you add in the other chemicals (hardner, reducer, metal flake, etc)
Please note that the actual spraying of the paint is not that expensive, The high price comes in the prep work before a paint job. The better the prep work, the better the appearance.
I have seen a million dollar shine out of some Krylon Rattle cans. The detail prep work was incredibly well performed.
If you get the right preperation done on the vehicle, any paint can gleam
Depends on what type paint, straight enamel, epoxy enamel, lacquer...a gallon of standard epoxy enamel can go as high as $100, sometimes more for specialty colors. Clear coat is sold separately, at additional cost...
You normally buy a reducer/thinner to thin down the base paint for spraying, so that is additional cost...
google PPG paints, they are pretty affordable. Don't forget that there are more supplies needed than just paint. (spray gun, primer, bondo, hardener, sandpaper, etc.)
depending on if your using single stage or base coat/clear coat.but just for paint materials your probably looking at about 350 to 500 dollars.
